Moss and lichen hold water against a roof, and that is what shortens its life, not the look of it. Lichen in particular grips into the coating, and blasting it off takes the coating with it.

​We treat rather than blast. A biocide is applied across the whole roof at no pressure, which kills the growth at the root and lets it weather off naturally over the following two to six months. It is slower to look clean than water blasting, and it is the method that protects the roof instead of wearing it out.
